About Our School

Discovery Elementary is located in Sammamish, Washington and was founded in 1991.  Our mascot is the Eagle while our school colors are blue and silver.  Currently, 652 students attend Discovery ranging from preschool through 5th grade. Currently, Kindergarten students are attending Challenger Elementary.

Discovery has many programs in which students can participate, including Eager Readers, a reading program in which students keep track of minutes read outside of school and earn prizes, and Caring Through Sharing, a program that gives students the opportunity to help others who are less fortunate.  Other programs include Destination Imagination, Global Reading Challenge, the Art Show, the Science Fair, Family Fun Night, and Field Day.
